Jay Mallinson, MEngSt & BE (Hons)
Co-founder & Lead Engineer
With a background in Mechatronics, Jay brings a hands on, end to end approach to engineering design.
He has taken projects from early concept through to real-world deployment, including systems installed at the NIH in Washington DC, new X-ray scanning technology undergoing clinical trials in the US and Australia, and specialist production equipment operating at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Rocket Lab.
In 2019, Jay founded Mallinson Made with his partner Romina to offer flexible, high-quality engineering design support for teams who need practical expertise on demand.
Romina Veseli, BSc
Co-founder & Business Development
Romina blends operational know‑how with a natural talent for supporting people. She's worked across customer service, leadership, project coordination, and administration roles in several industries, including health & leisure, renewable energy, and engineering.
With a degree in Psychology and Sport & Exercise Science from the University of Auckland, she’s driven by a desire to build connection, improve communication, and help teams do meaningful work together.
In her words, her role is all about “People, Paperwork, and Purpose."
Flo Gonzalez, BE (Hons)
Biomedical Engineer
Flo is a Biomedical Engineer trained at the University of Auckland with a passion for building technology that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Her background spans academic research and early-stage med-tech startups, where she has worked across product development, problem-solving, and hands-on engineering in fast-paced environments.
She enjoys bringing ideas to life through a combination of technical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Flo is driven by curiosity and a genuine interest in improving the way people experience healthcare and technology.
